ORVSD is a free resource for online teaching and learning designed to promote the use of technology in Oregon classrooms.
We offer Oregon public school educators the opportunity to find and share online resources, learn and use cutting edge online tools, and discuss how to put them to use in the classroom.
Whether you’re thirsty for more or just getting started, we’re here to help.
Because putting tools and resources at your fingertips enhances learning and helps you save time so you can concentrate on what you do best—teaching. The resources and training you'll find here will help you aid students in practicing, meeting and exceeding Oregon's Technology Standards. Eighth grade students are expected to be proficient in these standards. Concrete thinkers in elementary school are best introduced to concepts such as online safety and digital citizenship. Teaching these important skills early as we do with bus, hallway and playground behavior will set them up for more success and security online later.
Our vision is to deliver real-world readiness so Oregon students graduate prepared to succeed in today's global, knowledge-based economy. ORVSD gives teachers the tools they need to get our students ready for college, work and life in the 21st century.
