Science and the Living World

This course focuses on three elements: content knowledge, inquiry and other teaching strategies, and use of multimedia in teaching and learning. Course goals include:

• undertanding the processes of science;
• exploring the nature of scientific understanding;
• understanding the similarities and differences between scientific inquiry and classroom inquiry; and
• understanding the characteristics common to all organisms.
